    From the Principal

    Greetings from the Principal

    Dear Parents and Guardians,

“Stop.  Put your pencils down.”  These familiar words won’t be heard at Goetz until next school year, and our students can once again breathe a sigh of relief!  The 2012-2013 NJASK testing is now complete, and students and teachers both are to be applauded for their outstanding effort and commitment to achieving success on this standardized test.  With just a few short weeks left of school, we are continuing to host multiple activities and events.  This week, on Wednesday, May 15th, the Jackson Memorial Principal will be the guest speaker at Coffee with the Principal beginning at 9:30 a.m.. He will be here to address questions regarding 8th grade students and their transition to the high school.  In addition, on May 23rd, May 24th, and June 5th, we will be having our annual “Meet and Greet” with the incoming sixth graders.   Johnson, Elms, and Switlik students (respectively) will be introduced to what middle school is all about.   It’s our opportunity to showcase the “Goetz Family” and provide information to these students on what to expect when they arrive here next year.  To round out the year, on a “high note,” our Chorus Concert will be held on Wednesday, May 22nd, at Jackson Memorial High School Fine Arts building at 7 p.m., and the Band will “conduct” their concert on Thursday, May 30th, also at the JMHS Fine Arts building at 7 p.m.  So as we move into the final stretch of the school year, we look forward to what lies ahead with much enthusiasm and excitement!!

    Regards,

    Dr. Faith Lessig
