News & Info About
Your Child's Education

From the Principal

Greetings from the Principal

We may be cold and “knee-deep” in snow, but we are forging ahead with a very ambitious schedule here at the C.W. Goetz Middle School!  PARCC testing will begin next week with the 6th graders being the first group of test-takers.  In order to make your child’s test experience more successful, we encourage you to do the following:  1) Make every effort to have your child get to bed early the night before the test, 2) Ensure that your child arrives to school on time for testing, and 3) Provide your child with a good, healthy, protein-packed breakfast on testing days. Your child’s preparedness will enable them to shine on the tests.

SPRING, yes….that beautiful time of year where there are flowers (no icicles!!), clear streets/paths (no shovels needed!), and everyone is wearing light sweaters (no Parkas!!!!!!) will soon be blooming, and so will our list of activities.  The Gift Auction will take place on April 24, and is sure to be an evening of fun, prizes, and an overall good time!!! Please plan on coming and joining us for this exciting event!! J  Spring sports are beginning to “peek out” too!  Pretty soon the kids will be out on the track, throwing softballs, and readying their mitts!

So by looking ahead to the brighter, warmer, and more active days of Spring, we remind ourselves that we can all get past “Mother Nature being mean, in the cold and gloomy Winter of 2015”!!
