Happening Now at Goetz

This is an important message from the Carl W. Goetz Middle School in reference to NJ ASK Testing.

The 7th and 8th graders will be taking the NJ ASK Test starting on Monday, April 28th through Thursday, May 1st.  All 6th grade students will have a 2 hour delay from Monday through Thursday.  Please have your 6th grade child at their bus stop 2 hours from their original pick-up time.  Students cannot be dropped off to school any earlier than 9:55 a.m. as we do not have accommodations for them.

Friday, May 2nd will be a regular school day for all students.

Parents, please make sure that your child gets enough rest and eats a healthy breakfast to ensure that they will be focused and ready for their test. If you have any questions, please call the Goetz School.  Thank you for your cooperation.

From the Principal

Greetings from the Principal

Dear Parents and Guardians,

It is hard to believe that we are approaching the final few months of school.  There are so many activities and experiences yet to be explored!  But before all of those things happen, we welcome with open arms Mother Nature’s change of season!!  We have FINALLY had some warmer weather and have seen signs of spring, and with that comes a feeling of renewal. During the upcoming week, take the opportunity to enjoy the sunshine, pack away all those heavy sweaters, and revitalize!  This is the time of year to “peel away” the winter doldrums, and invite back longer, brighter days with bike riding, playing sports, and enjoying time with your family.  Your children (and you!) have worked very hard over the long winter months, and now is the time for everyone to enjoy a break from the day to day routine, and re-energize!  So, enjoy the upcoming week, take advantage of the warm and sunny days ahead; and as always, from the entire “Goetz Family”, I want to wish a safe, happy, and healthy holiday!!

Dr. Faith Lessig, Principal
